On Sunday, Man Utd will host the Gunners at Old Trafford in a matchup between two of the Premier League’s top teams right now.
Injuries have improved for Arsenal ahead of their tantalizing trip to play Manchester United on Sunday.
The Gunners have five victories in as many Premier League games this season, giving them the only undefeated record left in English football. They travel to Old Trafford to take on Erik ten Hag’s team, who are also in good shape after three straight victories.
Mikel Arteta, the head of Arsenal, feared that he could have to make personnel changes to his team. Before the journey to Manchester, two of his important players will need to pass last-minute fitness checks.
In the midweek victory over Aston Villa at home, both captain Martin Odegaard and goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale sustained injuries. Odegaard left five minutes early while Ramsdale finished the game. Both, though, have traveled with the team and will undergo rigorous testing before to the game on Sunday.
American goalkeeper Matt Turner might be called up to make a debut if Ramsdale ultimately fails to make the team, while Fabio Vieira could do the same if Odegaard is considered unprepared. However, Gunners supporters will hope that Ramsdale and Odegaard’s presence on the squad bus implies they will participate in the contest.
Along with teammates, Oleksandr Zinchenko, who has missed the past two games due to a knee injury, has traveled up north. The Ukrainian was a major question for the match on Friday, according to Arteta, who disclosed that he had not practiced with the team since becoming hurt.
“Unfortunately, that is still not the situation with Alex (Zinchenko). He has yet to participate in team training and has missed two games “he stated. The defense appears to be staying there, while Gabriel Jesus, Bukayo Saka, and Gabriel Martinelli are very certainly going to start up front once more.
Arsenal’s expected starting lineup at Old Trafford is as follows: Ramsdale; Tomiyasu, Gabriel, Saliba, Tierney; Sambi Lakonga, Xhaka, Odegaard; Saka, Jesus, Martinelli.
Ramsdale, Turner, White, Soares, Tomiyasu, Holding, Gabriel, Saliba, Marquinhos, Tierney, Zinchenko, Smith, Lokonga, Xhaka, Vieira, Saka, Odegaard, Smith Rowe, Martinelli, Jesus, Nketiah
